'Do Not Mail' Proposal Hits Postal Resistance

Submitted by common sense, Mar 10, 2008 14:24

What is it with state legislators? Are they that ignorant of the US Constitution? State Senator Kruger you are a joke. The problem is not the US Postal Service but your problem. Better go read the US Constitution and see where this document grants SOLE authority over the US Mails to the US Congress.

Another important fact. Ad mail is the only advertisement where the recipient does not pay any of the cost to receive it. This is not the same with magazines, newspapers, television, radio, or the internet. Ever try to tell those people to stop advertising because it annoys you? Also, those environmentalists are exaggerating the data to say ad mail clogs our landfills (only 0.4% of the mass in landfills is from ad mail).

It is time for those ignorant fools to mind the business they can and leave the other matters to the ones who know the situation fully.
