CUNY Students' Trip to Cuba 'Propaganda'

Submitted by Robert Kent, Mar 4, 2008 21:27

Travelers to Cuba have an opportunity to take effective action to promote human rights. More than 200 libraries have been opened in Cuba by people who are challenging the island nation's ironclad system of censorship. These brave people are being persecuted by the Cuban government. The organization of which I am co-chair, the Friends of Cuban Libraries, provides free books for travelers to Cuba who want to take much needed books, such as Orwell's "Animal Farm," to Cuban libraries.
