A Farewell to P.S. 79

Submitted by Henry Levenstein, Feb 25, 2008 23:09

I graduated Creston in '63, with Andy Wolf, the author (found him in my copy of the Crestonian). Mrs. Kaufman was my home room teacher in7SP1, and Mr. Bengis in 9SP1. I remember all the teachers Andy mentioned, but hardly remember Andy.

If anyone from the old neighborhood is out there listening, from my era, I'd like to hear.

What actually got me to search about Creston was research I'm doing on Russell Hulse, who won the Nobel prize in Physics in 1993. We went to Bronx Science class of 66. I vaguely remember him from Creston, but he's not in my Crestonian. Can anyone verify / deny? I've been through Wikipedia and Hulse's Nobel autobiography, without the answer.
