I can't speak for everyone, but Swedish snus certainly helped me quit smoking. I can tell by how much more active I am now, healthier, and less prone to illnes that snus has been a Godsend for me. I can also tell how much less destructive it is than American oral snuff. American oral snuff causes sores in my mouth. Swedish snus doesn't.

Everytime you take a freedom away, it paves the way for more freedoms to be taken away. Today, the average European can't buy a healthier alternative to cigarettes...Maybe tomorrow they won't be allowed to buy butter, or eggs, or alcohol, or condoms, or...(insert your favorite here.)
