Iran Rejects Link to Weapons Work, IAEA Says

Submitted by gary, Feb 23, 2008 14:11

"A senior IAEA official, who agreed to discuss the report only if not quoted by name, said that if the intelligence material provided by America and other IAEA members was genuine, most of the Iranian work was "most likely for nuclear weapons." That's not at all what the latest report says: here's a direct quote from the Director of the IAEA, made 2/24/08 "So we have the Protocol issue and we have the weaponization, alleged weaponization studies. I should however add that in connection with the weaponization studies, we have not seen any indication that these studies were linked to nuclear material". I'm an American citizen, born and raised, and I just can't tolerate my own government consistently painting a false picture regarding this issue, and so many others.
