Fire in Belgrade

Dear sir,
The "crimes of 1998 1999" followed terrorist actions by Albanians independentists, that were at the origin of the war. Kosovo gained its independence through terrorism with the support of the US (Democrat president Bill Clinton), which is a bit annoying when pretending fighting the same kind of threat (terrorist actions not mentioned in your article). Albanians were right when fighting to be independent from Serbs, and creating an ethnic state (a new value for the USA ?). But the Kosovo Serbs do not have the right to fight to be independent from Albanians. Bill Clinton and Jacques Chirac refused the Greek solution to split Kosovo in two, and rather preferred an ethnic cleaning of more than 2/3 of the serbs in the area, with the blessing of NATO. The same NATO that bombed Serbia against all international rules.
At the same time, Turkey pours anatolian settlers in North cyprus, which is illegally occupied against international laws with the US saying nothing, George Bush refuses the independence of Taiwan which historically is not part of China, he does not support any kind of independence for the Kurds, who are ethnically different from the Turks. He does not want independence for South Ossetia, High Karraba on the Russian borders, and for berbers and Touaregs in north Africa, and opposes such independence for South Sudan, Tibet, Karen people in Burma, or South Nigeria.
I am afraid to say that the independence of Kosovo has nothing to do with freedom. It was just used by Western politicians for personal purposes. One thing for sure, it is a huge slap in the face of the Slavonic world. WW 1 started in the Balkans : what about the next one ? It will be very hard to have the Russians on our side now : have we started a new cold war between blocks ?
American foreign policy is not always right, especially when made by a Democrat....
Yours
SD
