Obama's Brain Trust Taking Shape

Submitted by Howard Stevens, Feb 22, 2008 16:58

She has commented that US foreign polcy-makers "defer reflexively to Israeli security assessments." I wonder how closely she is familiar with US-Israel relations. It is my impression that such deference is to Israeli POLITICAL assessments. Israel's true security needs seem to take a back seat to political considerations. Eg., if Israel's security was prime, Saddam Hussein would still be in charge, providing an important buffer against Iran.
