This review appears to be the complete antithesis of Tommasini's, Ross', and the St. Louis critic's, review. Curious. Are we just being contrary, just to be different? And what's with the orchestra's "sound that one might expect from an ensemble from the provinces?" Wow! That's a amusingly outdated view of today's orchestras from the Midwest! Tell us Fred, did the St. Louis Symphony ride in on Conestoga wagons, and I missed it? :-) I bet they used tin cans as cell phones, too. Puh-leeze! Tell me you don't believe the Dodgers still play in Brooklyn, okay?

St. Louisans need not be embarrassed. They have a fine orchestra, despite the reviewer's droll, and utterly off the mark, review.
