Obama Adviser Leads Delegation to Damascus

Submitted by M. Delphia Block, Feb 14, 2008 05:47

Mr.Zbigniew Brzezinski is a very cerebral, thoughtful person who has always served America well. Mr. Obama should be proud to have him as an advisor. Any one who does not favor dialogue over confrontation is un-American! Any insidious ingrate that attempts to diminish or smear Senator Obama or any American that advocates for peace and dialogue with foreign countries, should find another country. Bill Kristol undermined General Shinseki, with 30 years of military service, who had recommended against a military operation to remove Saddam on grounds that it would be difficult and would require several hundred thousand troops. "Surely the president will step in and save the day. His presidency is on the line, as is the credibility of the U.S. and the whole security structure," wrote Kristol who stated that Bush should ignore General Shinseki. Paul Wolfowitz undermined General Shinseki when he told Congress that "our soldiers would be greeted as liberators and flowers would be thrown to them and revenues from the sale of oil would pay for the rebuilding of Iraq." Ken Adelman predicted a "cakewalk" and a "crushing win"! Charles Krauthammer predicted a "three week war" and Bush told the enemy, "bring um on" and indeed the insurgency they did not anticipate met our brave soldiers with IED, not flowers. Since neocons have diminished America's credibility and security it is refreshing to have Mr. Brzezinski advocate for dialogue with foreign countries. Americans want peace, not war. We value Mr. Brzezinski's intellect and his many contributions to America, unlike the necons! Chagrined, M. Delphia Block
