With Federal Funding at Risk, Hospitals Focus on Hospitality

As a nurse hospital has consulted the Studor group, I think it is an awesome approach to customer service but I feel our reimbursement should be based on services provided, not on how often we say thank you or get a family member a blanket. It is ridiculous that we are on such a state of affairs that our healthcare reimbursement is based upon this. If that is the case, the next time I go to McDonalds and the staff is does not offer excellent customer service, can I just take 2% off my bill and get away with it? This is absurd. I think customer service is important but basing our reimbursement on it is crazy!
