McCain's Democratic Appeal

Submitted by Barney Doyle, Feb 11, 2008 16:05

Mr. Kudlow is dreaming if he thinks John McCain is a shoe in for the Whitehouse. Let's survey the damage from the last 7 years of Republican hegemony shall we. Two recessions (yes we are already in the second). Millions of good jobs lost. Two unwinnable wars, 4,000 troops dead in Iraq alone and no end in sight to Mr. McCain's "100 year" war. Two terrorist attacks on our soil (the culprits Osama and the mystery anthrax terrorist remain at large). A city lost - New Orleans. Millions more without healthcare. Millions more in poverty. Declining living standards for the middle class. A massive collapse in the housing and banking industries (thanks to Greenspan/Bush and the mad deregulators in the Administration). The dollar has all but collapsed. Our reputation in the world is in tatters. Our children falling behind in education. The stock market has barely budged above where it was when Bush was appointed. Our earth is hotter, our environment dirtier, our infrastructure falling apart. Our liberties have disappeared. I could go on and on but I think this will suffice. There are not enough loopholes in the Diebold machines for a Republican to get elected in 2008. Not even Mr. "straight talker" himself.
