Jewish Groups Criticize Church's Preservation of Conversionary Prayer
in response to reader comment: Convert Muslims instead

Submitted by JS, Feb 8, 2008 17:27

In the Solemn Prayers on Good Friday there is a prayer for the conversion of pagans (1962 rite) or in the 1970 rite for the conversion of those who do not believe in Christ. We do not now and never have prayed for the conversion of Muslims by name since they are considered pagan or non-believers no different from any other pagan or non-believer.

Afraid of their reaction? Hardly. They are already burning churches and martyring priests and laity. And they regularly kill missionaries sent to convert them to the truth.
