A Glorious Mess

On the Democrat side, Clinton's experience is thin, I AGREE. Obama's message of hope is impalpable. I AGREE. So we must dig deeper to find a candidate who inspires hope and has the ability to bring opposing views together to get the job done; to move Washington to resolve issues that have plagued America for decades and which solutions for the U.S. and the World are critical at this time.

Their difference on the major issues is minimal; both would attempt to get the job done. So I ask myself who could have a better chance of getting elected in the fall AND a better chance to succeed given our current political environment -- a member of the Washington status quo who has the experience and intelligence to influence to get results OR an insurgent who seeks a different kind of politics where citizens come together around a common purpose to force Washington to sit up and take notice if they want to get re-elected.

There is an excellent website where I found MY answer. www.thinkonthesethings.wordpress.com

I believe I am intelligent and have the ability to get beyond the media spin and swiftboating to vote based on the facts. I'm dismayed, however, the number of people who either don't vote or vote without any understanding of the issues. I know this is true because I was one of them. I'm 62, female, and until this election cycle as a lifelong Democrat I believed my vote didn't count. This is probably one of the most important elections in my lifetime so I'm taking it seriously.
