Who Takes Reagan's Torch?

Submitted by Anthony E. Waller, Jan 31, 2008 18:14

Sometimes the shoe fits and sometimes it doesn't. He is great on fighting the earmarks and recites the MSM party line on taxes. He was right on the surge, but he trys to out-Al Gore everyone on the contrived Global Warming issue. He seems to be trying to drive down the center of the road between paying some lip service to conservatives (of whatever stripe), and to simultaneously score points with the East Coast liberal oligarchy.

This primary has degenerated into a rerun of Eisenhower-Taft; except that McCain lacks the genial smile. Would he do what Ike did to unify the party against Adlai Obama of Illinois?
