Taxes Made Simple

Submitted by Mark Kuster, Jan 29, 2008 00:12

This proposal simply resets the current income tax system back in time so that it can regrow into the monster we have today. Government power to manipulate the citizenry via income tax "subtractions" was not in the Founding Fathers' intentions. And there's nothing transparent about a system that taxes income and therefore buries such costs in the price of every good and service purchased. People have no idea how much embedded tax they pay with every purchase--and that's after the hit on their paychecks.

By the way, Huckabee is not proposing a "flat" tax. He is proposing a retail sales tax, the FairTax, the simple, fair and most transparent system of tax freedom that is a true redemption for this country. You can learn everything about it at www.fairtax.org. Support real tax reform, support the FairTax.
