"Mayor Bloomberg is expected to call for at least $300 million in cuts today from the Department of Education".

The proposed fiscal budget for 2008 for the Department of Education and Pension contributions to the Municipal Unions will be $2 Billion dollars over fiscal 2007 - $1.1 billion for the DOE and $.9 billion to MU pension funds. Guess who gets to pay for it? Some businessman!
