While I think Richard Holbrook is a thoughtful, sincere person, I find his op-ed piece on Afghan poppy growing replete with the kind of thinking I generally attribute to Democrats: Heavy on Criticism and extremely light on Workable Solutions. I guess Dems. are heavy fans of football, as witness their profound abilities to do Monday morning quarterbacking. Did Holbrook actually offer a solution? Maybe I read it too fast to discern such.
