Silverio Perez, 91, Famed Bullfighter

My father took me to my first bullfight in 1958 which was a good 5 years after Silverios supposed retirement. I saw him at the Plaza De Toros in Tijuana Mexico...My father even purchased a Bandilleria, a bulls tail, and two ears at the slaughter house down below at the Plaza de Toros...My father even bought the LP with the Silverio song on it.....Even though my father was Puerto Rican, He somehow knew of how famous Silverio was and was very enthusiastic...He told my mother and I that this was his farewell performance. I knew this was 1958 as my father drove a 1958 Fiat that we took to the bull ring. My father passed away in June 2006. He would be quite proud that I remembered this story.......
