It is indeed troubling that this sort of information is not available to the millions of citizens who fall for simplistic analysis.and supposedly passionate promises. One of Mr. Obama's great strengths is his ability to see and to weigh all sides of an issue and to try to be fair about opinions that do not coincide with his own.

Why is it that many of the most highly educated and apparently prosperous Americans are supporting Mr. Obama if they are not (and maybe if they are) Republican? Mrs. Clinton works hard and is extremely bright but the shrewd,manipulative and -- if this editorial and her biographers are accurate-- ruthless side of her way of operating should be even more out in the open . Just as her team's toying with accuracy is called into question,

So why can't Chris Matthews or Tim Russert. put her on the air with Cal Thomas? Last night's attack on Mr. Obama's Health Care Plan was a case in point.. Facts are facts. But not always for people who never have a chance to read and instead listen to TV summaries that of necessity oversimplify what has just been said, So far in the debates, Mrs.Clinton is the one who starts the attacks. Mr. McCain may be rigid but his character may appeal to independents who believe integrity is a priority if the choice is rigid or ruthless.

Years from now historians may be the first to take give a fair assessment of the documents in the Bush and Clinton dynasty archives (those that have not been shredded).. Let's hope that by that time our nation's core values are still in tact.
