Agreed that the bombing would have only temporarily halted the killing. The fault of the Roosevelt Administration, and the British, lies in the failure to allow the admission of Jewish refugees to their territories.

Had the people on the ST. LOUIS, for example, been disembarked in the USA, instead of having been sent back to Germany and their deaths, it might have set a precedent.

Had the British allowed immigration to Palestine, instead of limiting it in the White Paper, it would have made a difference.

Had the Canadians, instead of "one Jew is too many", allowed refugees to enter Canada, it would have made a difference.

That is where the guilt lies.
