Row Heats Up Over Role of Race in Campaign

Submitted by Spencer, Jan 14, 2008 14:26

How about the media stop focusing on the Democratic nominee choice as a choice between an African American and a woman?

Look at the candidates and make up your own mind. These are the candidates with the most money. They evidently can be bought and are following the rules of the old system. They do not represent change! Both of these candidates have taken an incredible amount of money from corporations and their political action committees. That is who they will represent.

If you think otherwise, you are fooling yourself and listening to rhetoric. I believe the hype surrounding these candidates are causing African American and female voters and pollsters to be guilted into choosing one or the other based on who they best identify with by demographics and according to historical precedence and not according to what is right for the country. John Edwards is the only choice, if you want a candidate to represent the people.
