Bloomberg, like too many today, think an all-out assault battle against smokers will fix the ills of this nation. Bloomberg should be aware of some facts as should the rest of yhose who buy into this trampling of freedom and disrespect for the rights of others.

First, half of all lung cancer patients never smoked.

Second, no cancer has ever been cured, hence it is a CANCER. What makes us think by scapegoating cigarette smoke we have found the cure for lung cancer?

Third, MANY things YOU PEOPLE do are harmful to others, yet is allowed. If you are talking about health, your oreo cookies, your potato chips, your snicker bars and nasty perfumes, lack of proper hygiene, why they all are dtrimental not only to you but to also the rest of us. Yet we endure it and you do not have to pay more tax for it.

Tell you what, gov'na....let's tax those jumbo lattes instead, and maybe those Liquid Lunches to boot. But ketchup is a vegetable and standardized testing is a measure of proficiency.

We are indeed heading to the Nanny state. This happens in times of indifference and lack of proper education, when "science" of the day becomes the dogma of the day on authority alone.

And then there's that Constitution thing, which I believe says what I do to my own body is my business.
