Rubin Rethinks

The invidious allocation of the tax burden among the citizens, based upon these citizens' arbitrary classification into distinct catergories, has its origin in two of the besetting sins of a republic governed by universal suffrage: Envy and Avarice. The Founding Fathers attempted to curtail this tendency, but Amendments to the Constitution and Judicial Decisions have nullified their efforts in this matter, as in so many others. The Electorate has caused our Public Servants to transmogrify the United States Treasury into a huge money laundry, allowing great segments of the Electorate to defer the costs of government onto generations not yet in the womb, as wall as displace the burden of taxes onto population segments not so favorably situated in the perpetual struggle for political power thaty our Nation has become.
