People, especially print and Internet news reporters, should stick to their beats and stop interfering in the internal mechanisms of The Metropolitan Museum of Art when it comes to the prestigious institution's decision about a successor to Mr. de Montebello. Coverage in print and electronic media resembles The Racing Form (for the last five years).

Perhaps PdM SHOULD have a say in his successor. In that case, to the breadwinner belongs the spoils. And we all know who that is.
