This article makes sense, but there is something that is slightly incorrect.

"... its leaders imposed strict codes of Islamic behavior on areas in the south of the country."

This is not true. Although Islamic behaviour is definitely encouraged in the South, no rules are forced upon anyone. People are free to dress and talk as they want. Of course, and overwhelming majority of the population of southern Lebanon does dress modestly and embraces Islam, but it must be noted that they do not do this out of obligation from Hizballah, but out of genuine faith and in respect of local traditions.
