There is no machine gun in the pictures, nor was one found, but it was a gun which functions like most .22's in the nation and fires a small and low powered cartridge. The "massive" cache of ammo is mostly .22's, which most Boy Scouts and summer campers learn to shoot. In the picture, there are 7 boxes of 500 rounds of .22's and some other bulk .22 ammo boxes which hold between 400 and 700 rounds per box. Big deal, in most of the country this is the result of Gander mountain or walmart having a sale. Several of the so called Arsenal items are in fact nothing more than toys, Pellet guns are toys, they do not shoot at anywhere strong enough power to kill, and most will do nothing more than give you a bit of a sting. Having or possessing a telescopic sight for a rifle is common, it is used on about 80 % of the hunting rifles in the nation, having one on a rifle is not the basis of being a "sniper" but rather that you need a bit of help in seeing the target. thats all it means. Also as a Paper, a member of the fourth estate, you should be particularly incensed that merely possessing a printed magazine (front and center on the table) about guns or ANYTHING should make you a criminal. HOW can owning literature be considered criminal. Maybe you should be more concerned about a Police Dept that considers what you read to be offensive vs what you actually did.
