Sonar Ruling Will Reverberate For Sea Mammals

Do we destroy the oceans to save them?

It is time the Navy recoginized their mission defending and protecting the US includes defending and protecting endangered and cherished US natural resources.

Our oceans are our greatest global environmental asset and their health is as vital to national interest as any other. I hope NRDC and the Coastal Commission prevail. It is time the courts reasserted their oversight over what has become a rogue Bush Administration that has counted on the courts to be paper tigers, only to do its bidding.

National security includes the security of our nation's marine life upon which our coastal economy and our very natural survival depend.
