Sadly, I missed Mr. Marchman's article when originally published. He has captured the essence of contribution Tony Gwynn has given baseball with his play. As part of the 75,000 in Cooperstown this July, I was pleased that Major League Baseball honored such a person during a time of questionable use of performance enhancing substances by players. Thank you!
