Tidal Wave of Lawyers Nears, Bar Data Forewarn

Prices are already lower for run of the mill services when adjusted for inflation. Most people pay around $500 or so for representation on most common misdemeanors and traffic court matters. Wills, trusts etc. is around $800 or so unless you are rich. If you are rich you can afford better representation and you ask for more. Nothing wrong with that. How is that different from yelling at Toyota for selling the Lexus? Legal problems are still rare for most of the population. This is the big difference between doctors and lawyers. You are much more likely to see a doctor than a lawyer most years. The real crisis is the low number of doctors. We have 1.14 million lawyers but less than a million doctors. We need to have twice as many doctors just to keep the current standard of care. My guess, get ready for poor health care but much better legal care. I blame the American medical association for under representing demand for so long only to change course and declare that there was a severe shortage only recently! It is not just doctors but nurses as well.
