Romney and King

First Martin Luther King ("MLK") and his followers never really marched in a real sense, they walked in a parade. In a symbolic sense they did march.

To participate in a protest parade in support of MLK's goals at any other location would in real sense be marching with MLK, especially if at the same time or near the same time as MLK might be marching at another location.

In a symbolic sense, marching with Martin Luther King means advancing the cause of civil rights.

Oh I don't know many people ( even in the South) today that would regard marching with MLK as a negative thing. Some might regard the leadership of the Civil Rights Movement as more broad based than a single person. Most will realize that it freed people of all races from a harsh system and was particularly helpful in the advancement of women.

When you speak of the Republican Southern Strategy, you fail to mention the Democrat strategy of going after the Black vote. If one approach is racist, then the other is too. The Democrat Strategy must be even more racist since it generally produces a "landslide proportion" 90 % plus Black vote in support of the Democrat Party on a national basis.

Demanding that the President and Congress " protect and defend' the nation against the large scale invasion of illegal aliens is more broad based than just asking that the laws of our nation be enforced only against Hispanics. Most Hispanics are good people and respect our laws and deserve the benefits to which all citizens and legal resident aliens are entitled. But illegal alien, irregardless of their nationality, need to be denied jobs and government benefits, arrested, sentenced, fined and then deported, all 12 million of them, one at a time.
