in the past few years it has become apparent that big business has purchased a large portion of our goverment. the supreme court- for many years the bastion of our civil rights- has begun to cave to privite interests at an alarming rate. congress is just a rubber stamp to the demands of lobby and business interests. the executive branch has blurred the good of the public into the good of special interest groups.

now - along with eminent domain - we see our basic rights pummeled by the justice department. where has habeas corpus gone- warrents to enter private premises and listen in on private conversations are just the tip of the iceberg. people are arrested and held without just cause- all in the name of 'the war on terrorism'. maybe pogo was right ' we have seen the enemy and he is us ".
