Mysteries

I couldn't agree more. "The Tin Roof Blowdown" is an exceptional work of art. It is not simply a mystery but is also sociopolitical, anthropological, and poetic work. Yet Burke never slights his chosen genre. More than mystery of the year, this is my personal choice for book of the year (with all due respect to Cormac McCarthy).
