I delivered at Roosevelt in October, and after 24 hours of labor and a traumatic emergency c-section, my husband and I decided we would prefer a private room, so that he wouldn't have to leave at night. Well, Roosevelt no longer has ordinary private rooms for a little bit more than the shared rooms. They just have these luxury rooms for a lot more. We bit the bullet and went for it, but we were annoyed that they had eliminated the ordinary private rooms we'd been told about when we took a hospital tour early in my pregnancy.
