No, I don't support those principles at all.
What I mean is that in the modern advanced civilization that we are fortunate enough to live in we can do much better than the terrorists. There are things such hypnotism, drugs and an array of methods that don't use the practices of the middle ages.
We can defend ourselves by means that are much more effective. We, as an advanced and civilized society, have an absolute right to defend ourselves, but there really is no need to resort to the tactics of the barbarian.
All life is valuable. That is why it is up to us, as defenders of the worlds' freedom, to do what we can to stop tyranny and oppression wherever it presents itself. But not following the same path as the terrorist. We are better than that and as such must hold the standards we expect of ourselves in every situation and with everyone. Not just those who agree with us.
Reagan defeated communism without a shot being fired or going down the same path as the extremists in the old Soviet Union wished to use on us. Now that is something to behold and to follow.
