Or is he silent on this issue? And why are important issues merely tacked on to other important issues? There are times I think that the Swiss (the only true democracy) have the right idea. They actually let the people vote. This is an issue that would pass by a landslide. Many Americans see no reason for driving tests to be adminnistered in over 50 languages either. Let the official language be English. An employer may require me to speak English to her/him but should permit me to speak any of the other three languages I speak with friends who speak them.
