As a Confederate-American let me remind all that you tread on dangerous PC quicksand to condemn the angry Sudanese. The Teddy Bear offense recapitulates the Confederate Flag issue in the USA.

You must remember that this incident is the narrative of the Offended persons. The offendor cannot claim ignorance or innocence by benign intent. The Offense is determined my the Offended and there can be no gainsay to their own interpretation of their own offense.

From 1970 to 1984 the Confederate flag had about as much political content as a bowl of grits (or a teddy bear). But some people were greatly offended by the flag nevertheless. To respond that the flag was incorrectly interpreted as offensive was merely a mark of cultural insensitivity.

Likewise with the offending Teddy Bear. To claim the offended Mohammedans were in error to take offense is culturally insensitive. Haven't we learned anything?
