It is noteworthy to mention that James Hansen, a NASA scientist, initiated the global warming scare in 1988 when he appeared before congress and said he was "99% sure that global warming was caused by man". Ten years later, in 1998, Hansen retracted his 1988 assertion with the statement "the forces that drive long-term climate change are not known with accuracy sufficient to define future climate change."

A few well-intentioned scientists have joined political hacks such as Al Gore and his leftist Demokrat Party to turn the subject into the needless mess we have now.
