There is no such creature as a Yoga Stick so the chances that a yoga stick was used is none to zero. There are, however, Zen Sticks (sleepingtiger.org/zen.htm) that could easily be used to club a person to death. It's also very conceivable that the victim had such a stick and that the yoga instructor would have no knowledge of it.

Lowery sees Stein using a Zen Stick for mediation purposes, Lowery knows Stein practices yoga, Lowery calls it a yoga stick. All conjecture of course.
