Stop Dressing Your Daughter Like a ...

Submitted by cav, Nov 25, 2007 19:22

I share this author's pain (I've already passed through the stages of: surprise, shock, outrage, disappointment, and am now wallowing in my own sad apathy.) My solution to this problem has been to shop in the boys department to escape the lowrise jeans, and thrift shops for more traditional and appropriate garments. I blame Jerry Springer and Reality TV for the dumbing down of America. Trash is no longer limited to trailer parks and poverty, it has become fashionable to practice "posed ignorance," bad manners and base language. We have parents that don't want to be grown-ups and children who think they are entitled to act like the MTV whores their parents allow them to watch.
