Empty Seats Threaten NBA's Future in New Orleans

Wow anybody who questions the ability of New Orleans to support this team obviously has no idea what they are talking about. I mean we have seen similar articles or feelings from how many journalists? Kornheiser, Barkley, even local writers from the Times-Pic, but they must all be wrong. I mean you guys supported them before the storm right? No, But that was a bad team, much like the teams you conviently mention as also having bad attendance. But you would support a winner right, no the year before that was a playoff team and still second to last in attendance. The Hornets are opening their fourth season in New Orleans 2 were playoff teams and this one likely is too, yet point us to the season you guys actually came out and supported the team? The first year, the honeymoon phase when you barely managed to slip into the top 2/3 of the league attendance wise. There is always some excuse, bad team, unexciting team, we don't like Shinn, So what are perfect set of circumstances that would allow you guys to make it out to the games? How many games have you been to this year?

I understand that attendance is not the only revenue stream for a team, but I also understand that sponsorships and TV deals tend to dry up when the general public shows no interest in the product being sponsored. And let's not even talk about the absurdity of using public money to subsidize the team that the majority of New Orleans obviously cares so little about while in your words are still " a people rebuilding".

Attendance has dropped every year this team has been in town so what turns it around? or when do the money men (advertisers, sponsors, TV execs, politicians) start questioning the intelligence of pouring more money in?
