The people in the current government were Syrian puppets for 15 years and prosecuted Aoun when he testified before the US Congress to get Syria out off Lebanon during his 15 years of exile. These so called anti Syrians jumped ship at the last moment and gerrymandered an electoral law at the expense of the Christians.

The "March 14" Movement allied with Hizbollah in the 2005 parliamentary elections and formed a government with them legitimizing Hizbollah's weapons in contravention of UN Resolution 1559; steps that were opposed by Aoun.

Aoun would later sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Hizbollah, a roadmap to implementing 1559 including Hizbollah's disarmament; points of the Memorandum were adopted by UN Resolution 1701.

Why this aversion to the truth??
