I know people in the east don't get to see many games because of the time the difference. PAC10 is very for real. I think the top 6 teams would do well in any conference even those back east. I know they play good ball back east but the biggest difference is the defense played. I think would stop or slow alot of teams even the better ones anywhere in the country. I've been to big East conference games in the eighties and this conference is equal to the power that one had at one time. I am a Washington State fan and have confidence that they can play with anyone in the county even North Carolina. Funny thing about the media, they give alot of credence to superfical things like recruiting and historic team stature however, this is a new era and the east coast nor the southeast are power conferences anymore the PAC-10 is. Dick Vitale is one of the worst for biased for east coast teams hse thinks that no one knows how to play basketball except North Carolina. My cougars have way more credentials with the Pan Am games over the summer yet have to take a back seat to teams and players who have not credentails rated higher. I am not impressed with these higher rated teams.
