Why Reagan Deserves Benefit of Doubt on Racism

Submitted by Yoel L. Arbeitman, Nov 14, 2007 01:09

i regret to say that I find the writer's adduction of all these stories about how some or Reagan's best buds at various times of his life were blacks and he even rescued a drowning black boy totally irrelevant to the incredible reality that he made that speech and even made an appearance in Philadelphia, Miss.

Philadelphia, Miss. is a place of shame where two Jews with one Black, as memory serves me, were butchered trying to fulfill the unfulfilled dream of the USA.

Ronald Reagan sold out his sense of decency, which I am sure that he had, in order to have a Solid South.

I do not believe that the author can be so naive.

Such blindness does the author little credit.
