The ground shift beneath our feet when it is inherently unstable. Building on quicksand and on earth-quake prone areas means the buildres and tennants are willing to feel the tremores constantly, and deal with them. Such is the reason for the frequent chages of governments in Israe which Lieberman alludes to. The policy of partitioning has been the cornerstone of jewish and American policy for 85 years and it is inherently unastable requiring constant maintenance, fix-ups and sometimes outbursts of fire-power. Once the realization that partitioning is the wrong basis for policy sinks in, one can put down real foundations for a real policy. The policy of Unity, the Unity of the Land, and the Unity of the People. Once Arabs realize the Land of Israel will not be partitioned with them under any cicumstances, they might actually concede defeat, and negotiate realistically, which is peace for peace, land for land, and demography for demography. Equal rights for Jews to acquire and live on land East of he Jordan as do Arabs west of the Jordan. Is Parity extremist? If you are Muslim the answer is Yes, parity is impossible. On the other jhand it is the only basis for a real peace policy, and untill it is implemented, Israel will never rest.
