I am greatly heartened to read the words of those faculty members who signed the Faculty Action Comittee Statement of Concern. They do credit to Columbia's well-established reputation for intellectual freedom and greatly contribution to the continuing functioning of our prescious democracy in the face of an administration which has wrapped itself in secrecy while blundering away the nation's goodwill with other peoples.
