I apologize for reading this column late, but, as a Jew, who discovered how the democrat party had changed since my late parents had belonged to it, I changed my registration some years back to the republican party.

The democrat party was once a great party but years ago, during an illness that left me nothing but c-span to watch, I realized that the democrat party stood for telling us what to do and handing out our taxes to special interest groups. Merit went by the wayside and money was spent on programs that never worked but never ended.

Having grown up poor, we never had what people on Welfare today have in their paid for apartments. Go take a look and maybe the hard working people that receive nothing from the government may just want to stop working and sit back and get what Welfare pays for.
