I wanted to let you know that a group of Black bloggers is organizing a counter demonstration to highlight Sharpton and other's massive hypocrisy. For MONTHS people have been calling, writing, and emailing Black "leaders" about the horrific crime against humanity committed against a Black mother and her child in a place called Dunbar Village in West Palm Bea ch, FL . They want DOJ to prosecute hate crimes, we can't even get Sharpton to issue a one line statement saying "I know. I care. I am concerned." about DunbarVillage.

You can go to my blog to learn about it or google "Dunbar Village." The silence about Dunbar Village is immoral. Rev. Sharpton, Rev. Jackson, NOW, the SCLC, NCBW, Clinton, Obama, Edwards, and Richardson and others ALL KNOW about Dunbar Village and continue to remain silent. Apparently the Civil Rights Industrial Complex and the Black Elite Establishment only care if a Black woman is brutalized by white people.

The AJC did a special report on the the disparity of treatment for Black victims and Black perpetrators:""Everyday my office ... handles horrible cases involving the sexual assault and/or death of black children, black women and black senior citizens. It is difficult for me to recall an occasion wherein my office has received a note, card, letter or phone call from any black advocacy group or political leader in support of these victims. There is something mentally ill about the value of victims being determined by who their attackers are. In the Dunbar Village case, the mother was attacked by ten Black teenagers. Not only are the facts of the crime horrific, but the age of the alleged attackers, the response of her neighbors before, during and after the crime, the anarchy that the local government allowed to reign in the housing complex, and the breathtaking incompetence demonstrated in the aftermath by the West Palm Beach Housing Authority and the City Commissions are all issues that people need to be aware of. This didn't happen in Darfur. This happened HERE. On our watch. These overwhelmingly single Black women have been left to rot and die without police protection and nobody seems to care.

Essence magazine did a story on the silence in the November issue, pg 210, but other than that, Black leadership has been completely silent.
