If You Build It, Will They Come?

You failed to mention (intentionally?) the fact that shortly after the new wing opened, Denver was hit with the one of the heaviest snow falls ever. The entire city, including the airport, shut down for a couple of days. Thick ice on the streets for days and in some cases weeks afterward kept people from getting out for more than emergency runs to the grocery store. This had a major effect on attendance at the art museum at the height of interest in the new building. The Libeskind wing is spectacular, both inside and out, and the art displayed in it relates successfully and beautifully to the building. A perfect marriage.
