Powerful Voice in Javits Talks May Push To Scrap Pataki Plan

Convention centers are way overbuilt nationally, and we are heading into a fiscal crisis and recession. So I say improve the existing facilty for less money. And if a drastic space exapansion is called for, put it in a separate, competing facility in a less costly location, to be built when construction prices come down.
