To compare the immigrants of years ago to the influx here today illegally is definitely a stretch. In order to come to this country years prior you had to have a family that would support you here, a trade that was needed and follow the rule of law in order to enter this country.

Now you come through the southern border, have children at a remarkable clip ( because this great nation would dare not deport a mother with anchor babies), have this great nation subsidize this ever growing family of illegals and what do you get, a nation on the downturn.

Uneducated masses invading our country, who take social services to which they are not entitled, send money out of this country on which little or no taxes have been paid and deamnd that this governent cave into their wishes.

Comprehensive immigration reform is not what is needed. Simple straight forward common sense is what is needed. Doing away with the amendment giving instantaneous citizenship to anyone born in this country who doesn't have parents who are citizens. ( anchor babies would no longer be a problem)

Ending chain migration, which allows for an increasing elderly population to be brought to this country. This population then can take advantage of social services to which they never paid into, at the expense once again of the US taxpayer.

End dual citizenship, if you are an American then you pledge your allegiance to this country, if not retain your other countries citizenship and lose all benefits this country allows.

Bring home our troops from Germany, Korea and places that are no longer in need of our troops and line our borders with our own troops. We' ll protect our own borders.

Heavily fine employers who hire anyone without legal proof that they can work in this country. These employers are not paying payroll taxes, not paying fair wages and surely can't be paying fair business taxes for the amount of money they raking in.

Get rid of the government we now have and bring in fresh voices. This congress forgets that this is a government of the people, for the people and by the people. Instead of for them, by them and made by them. Term limits may be what is need to shake out the braindead sycophants who continue to decay in the offices in Congress. The good ol boy network has to be dismantled!
